APTA: Adaptive Peer Tutoring Assistant
Create software that allows student's to collaborative solve equations in both remote and in-person settings.
To account for the emergent needs of remote instruction due to COVID-19, we are updating existing design for APTA for remote use. Since students are removed from the classroom, designs must account for classroom contextual cues that are no longer available (e.g., students knowing that their partner is at their computer and actively working). Stemming from work with students and teachers, we created interface elements that direct students to what they should be doing and highlight if their partner is on and working.
